Recent graduates and mid-career professionals in Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM) specialties can pursue a wide variety of opportunities with the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS). Our STEM workforce encompasses over 60 different specializations.

Many STEM positions require a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science from an accredited institution. Specifically, engineers require a degree from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) certified institution.

Students and entry-level candidates should also consider the Science and Engineering PALACE Acquire (PAQ) Program. The S&E PAQ program offers qualified BS graduates a well-planned three-year development and training program, which includes one year of graduate studies relating to state-of-the-art technology.
